This OEM oil filter kit fits all cars with these engines:
M52: 2.5L / 2.8L
M54: 2.5L / 3.0L
The oil filter should be changed every 5,000 miles, along with the engine oil, to ensure optimal engine performance and efficiency. An old or dirty filter can allow excess particles and dirt into the engine which deteriorates the oil quality and can result in engine damage over time, or poor performance in the short-term.
