These OEM ignition coils are direct replacements for all N52 engines as well as many other BMW models and engines. Ignition coils are the key to efficiency and performance for your BMW. While newer ignition coils will not generate additional horsepower, they will improve your cars performance by unleashing lost horsepower caused by faulty or old ignition coils.

A bad coil may cause a fault code but will not always cause a check engine light. You can test ignition coils by moving them around the different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code will follow to the new bank. These ignition coils are additionally the OEM plugs for the N55 and S55 engine as well.
